Make sure they have some snow

The ski shop (I think it's called Edinger and is run by Albert) under the
gondola lifts that runs from Soll to Hoch Soll has good ski storage and
great boot driers. I think it's well worth getting your skis and boots up
there the night before if possible. We found walking from the bottom
station to the town was more pleasant than the crowded bus after a day's
skiing.

Beginners lessons are in a relatively dire 'foothills' area, if I recall
correctly.
Well worth avoiding if you can get some practice in beforehand.
