Plattekill, a surprising, but excellent choice. I hope this doesn't mean
I'll have to wait more than 30 seconds for a lift this year. me wrote: NYP Travel picks the top five Northeast slopes for well-rounded ski breaks" click here for the story: http://www.nypost.com/travel/35892.htm |

Naah, the writer got some free lift tickets in exchange for a little bit of travel writing and smootching up. Sound familiar? You might enjoy googling on the author's name. I was reminded of another armchair travel writer I know. Jimintexus |

I know we have gone through this last season, they could use the
business, but I hate to see this place ruined by crowds. The lack of lift lines is on of it's big selling points for me. Naah, the writer got some free lift tickets in exchange for a little bit of travel writing and smootching up. Sound familiar? Yeah, but really, Stratton's tiny little "village" is a cheap rinky-dink knockoff of Vail, which is itself a cheap rinky-dink knockoff of a Tyrolean ski village. And at the prices you have to pay at Stratton, you could go to a _real_ Tyrolean ski village and probably spend less! You might enjoy googling on the author's name. I was reminded of another armchair travel writer I know. Google was instructive, but I probably could have spotted this guy by just looking for the one with the really long nose... -- Mary Malmros Some days you're the windshield, other days you're the bug. |
