A bit hard to guess who's who here, isn't it? :-)

yeah, it's hard, but due to the high-signal-to-noise of this group many
people still continue to use their real names. So if you REALLY want to
know who is who it's easy to find out. I stopped using my real name
after googling myself. Scary.

It's even more amazing to google someone else's name and find nothing.
How do they _not_ have a net presence?

Ok, my first rollerski was on Aug 20th. I did a piddley little ski to
Pine Pt and back. We used to ridicule people for _only_ skiing to Pine
Pt. Anyway, after about a 1km, my triceps were burning, and before
getting to Pine Pt., my back was in knots. For a few days after
finishing, I was using electric stim. to loosen up. Holy smokes. Go out
to Afton and ski? Hah.

I started looking at the upcoming season and all I can think is that
it's going to be hard doing laps at Elm Creek again. It's 1.5 hrs of
driving per workout and maybe I should just keep climbing on the bike
instead.

Good news Peter. We bought an Outback, so we can haul beer up to your
place. Did I mention my beer gut? Moooo...

I've been on the net/Usenet for well over 10 years, always under my own
name. The result is that the query above currently generates 3+ million
hits.

I.e. it is _far_ to late to try to hide. :-)

That _is_ pretty amazing, and impossible if you take part in any kind of
athletic competitions.

Not that buzy, most of those hits will be from replies that quote
something I wrote and/or multiple servers that archive various groups.
