Default How is S:t Anton around April 1st?

I have been in S:t Anton several times before, including this January, but
always early in the season. I'm thinking of one week of skiing between
March 27th and April 3rd, and the cheapest of the good alternatives is S:t
Anton (the other good alternatives are Val d'Isère and Verbier, but both
will cost me more).

S:t Anton however, feels to be the least "safe" of the three when it comes
to snow availability, will it likely be very bad or good enough for making
a trip there?

I have skied in St Anton in April last 23 seasons as well as
Dec,Jan,Feb,March. There is no problem, in fact you get some of the
best skiing of the season at that time. Off course lower slopes sluch up
by midday as its spring skiing. Up top its great . I,ve skied there
begining of May as well, they maintain the piste all the way down to the
town and down to Stuben !
Bear in mind alot of apres places start to close up end of March ie
Krazy Kangaroo, Picadilly. The Moosewirt stays open till the last day of
the season.

Have a good one, must book a flight up myself :-)

....and now the travel agency lowered the price for trips to Verbier to
almost the same level, so now I'm torn between the two... ;-)
