Bode Miller: in the (general) public eye

Seen in an article on "high-tech fabric technology" in yesterday's
Boston Globe business section:

"This is you gussied up in muscle-supporting tights, an ultra-wicking,
anti-odor T-shirt, and a sleek shell inflated for extra warmth: You
strut like Carl Lewis and power down like Bode Miller, with the cool and
aplomb of Tom Brady."

That's about as much of a mainstream-sports-icon reference as I've seen
applied to an alpine skier in this country's press. If Bode stays
around for the 2006 Olympics, anyone wanna bet he's going to carry in
the flag?
