The 10th anniversary month of the "Group Dynamics" post almost passed
without recognition.

For the record, the post was dated Mon, 05 Apr 1999 19:26:02 -0700.

We are now into our 11th year of brotherhood and good will.

Ullr bless and keep us, preferably in the warmth of Skadi's ample bosom

Is Skadi's ample bosom pert too? 'Cause that an important part of the
whole "busom" experience.

I suppose this is a paraphrase of a song? Is it in English?

I thought somebody was going to throw a costume party with a prize for the most
creative combination of beefstick, sheep and uncontrollable rage. Did my
invitation get lost in the mail?

Gonar the Incontinent honors this day as it is the source of great
verbal incontinence.

Truly it is a rite of Spring.

Actually, it's Whoish

It is clearly (CLEARLY!) an excerpt of the words to the Who's of
Whoville Christmas carol, EXCEPT I laboriously typed "RSA" to replace
"Christmas."

Why would you even consider going to that kind of party?

A real costume party would have people carrying SWORDS while dressed
in fur and wool, and having steel helmets with horns. Now that's what
Ronald Reagan would have wanted.

Try to do better. Strive for success, and tell others the same.
That's what leadership is all about.

And vote for Palin-Ahhhnold in 2012.

All this discussion of lyrics has reminded me of one of the funniest videos
ever posted on the web (the Joe Cocker singing "I Get By with a Little Help
from MY Friends" at Woodstock, with captions for the clear headed):

It really should be reposted for the new to enjoy.

Trunky must be getting old though. His latest visits for abuse have
been sending him scurrying off with his tail between his legs even
sooner than usual.

Another anniversary to note would be the "Backlash" letter too. It was
from January 1996.

http://www.backlash.com/content/email/1996/em0196.htm
I am Scott Barak Abraham's brother. I started to write a long
rebuttal to his story in Backlash ("Repressed Memory Syndrome,"
The Backlash, March 1995), but then I stopped. No matter what I
say, some will accept, some will not. But there is a thing that
must be said. Scott Barak Abraham was not, I repeat not, abused
within our household. Since this alleged abuse is one of the
pivotal points of the article, I feel it calls the validity of
the whole article into question.
Mr. Abraham was a multiple substance abuser for over twenty
years, I have never used any drugs and haven't had a drink since
I was 15 years old, 27 years ago, and was never drunk even once.
I bring this up not for moral judgment, just for one point. Mr.
Abraham poisoned his mind and body for over twenty years with
mind altering drugs and substances, all of which have been
scientifically proven to affect intelligence, perception and
memory.

Finally, as children, up to my 17th birthday Mr. Abraham molested
me, violently abused me almost daily, and to this day uses words
of derision and insult to attack and intimidate me. He denies
this. If nothing else, I remember him doing this, he denies it.
He says both of us were victims of multiple abusers, and I deny
that with absolutely no hesitation or reservation. Since the
article says False Memory Syndrome doesn't exist, he is quite
wrong, as apparently one of us is the victim of said syndrome.

A last thought. Mr. Abraham's behavior is nothing new, it hasn't
changed ever. He threatened and intimidated when he was six, he
threatened and intimidated when he was 15, he threatened and
intimidated when he was 25, he threatens and intimidates when he
is 43.

I do not use my name at the request of the publisher.

I hear the hors d'oevres are to die for.

A real costume party would have people carrying SWORDS while dressed
in fur and wool, and having steel helmets with horns.

I thought that was ordinary business attire in your part of the world.
