Default salomon forcast 156

I am looking at a 03/04 salomon forecast brand new. I am looking to get the
most for my money and a board that will last me.

I mostly enjoy the freeride, pow but will hit the park if my friends are
too.

Anyone have this board or know how it rides?

I can pick it up for 230$

everything I've read about it is good and should be worth the price. If
I remember correctly off the top of my head, it's a little more of a
park board but it should serve you OK on the rest of the mountain I
would think.

I do mostly the same type of riding as you and I was actually keeping
that board on my "long" list for my new plank in '05. not sure if it'll
make the short list but if I see it cheap enough (like $230) I'd
probably bite

156 would definitely be too short for me, how big are you? what length
board are you riding now?

If I recall the Forecast is the new name for the old 450, which was the most
versatile board in Salomon's lineup back then. The 04/05 version is listed
as being a little more towards the freestyle end of things but the sidecut
radius, and the fact that Salomon boards are generally quite stiff say that
it should do fine as a freeride board. If it's the right size for you -
including width - $230 sounds like a deal.

I just re-read his post and said the one he's looking at is a 03/04
model so that's probably even better.

so yeah if it's the right size, go for it and give us a review when
you've broken the sucker in ;-)

Is the 03/04 board better for some reason then this years?

I am 5'10" about 155 pds for the person who asked earlier. I ride a marker
155 right now (its about 7 years old lol).

I doubt it's better than this year's, just that someone else pointed out
how the current model is being marketed as more of a "park" board than
it used to be. there may have been some minor changes that went into
this years board that made it more appropriate for park riding than
freeriding.

since you said you mostly freeride, I figured the 03/04 board would
probably be great for you. I'm sure the 04/05 model is still an awesome
board, but who knows if it's as versatile. if anyone knows, let me
know :-)

the person who asked about your height/weight was me, LOL

the 156 sounds sweet for ya, grab it
