Pistoff Eurosnowpages now open for season 2005/2006
Hello skiers, Just thought I'd let you know we have now again opened for the season at www.pistoff.com / www.eurosnowpages.com Please bear with us as we go through all the links and double-check that they are all still functional and contain useful information. Everything should be up-to-date within a week or two. New resorts being added as well. And as usual: a) new link suggestions are always welcome and b) new links must either contain something NEW or something BETTER - we do not try to have as many links as possible A brief European snow update below (sent to Pistoff VIP members a couple of days ago - you can sign up too). Happy skiing ! /Pandy ===================== Austria: Sunny weather all over Austria. Kaprun is looking very promising indeed and actually received 5-10 cm of snow last weekend. Official snow levels are currently 0/90 cm. Solden (0/100cm) and Stubai (0/70cm) are both open, with powder conditions. Solden has 33 km of slopes open and Stubai 40km. Kaunertal (0/40 cm), Molltal Glacier (0/70 cm) and Dachstein (0/30 cm) are open as well. Finland: Ruka has opened 1 of its 28 slopes. Temperatures are as low as -9 degrees at the moment but only 6 cm of snow. France: Tignes (0/25 cm) is open. Only clear blue skies predicted so not much more snow for some time. Italy: Val Senales (0/75 cm) and Presena Glacier (0/70 cm) are both open. Val Senales even has 7 open slopes but would need more snow. Presena is very wet due to rainfall. Sweden: absolutely nothing open as far as we know. Anyway, this is the winter to go to Åre. Everything will be more expensive in 2007 because of the world cup, I am sure. :-) Switzerland: Saas Fee (0/80 cm) has a lot of snow and sunshine and also some new snow in Zermatt (0/65 cm). That's all we have for now! Not very much but there will be better reports once we get some more snow. Meteorologists are predicting a very cold and long winter. Sounds excellent ! More news in a month or so. In the meantime, check the up-to-date conditions at www.pistoff.com |
