Just back from Zermatt

I took a last minute apartment in Zermatt last weekend (although because of
work commitments I actually returned home on Wednesday - leaving an empty
paid for apartment). The resort was reasonably quiet and I had no queueing
problems!

Basically: the weather was brilliant and the snow was quality dry compacted
powder. All rather excellent really. The links to Cervinia etc were all open
as well.

The Zermatt website accurately lists the open and closed psites etc. The
resort "fully opened" the week before, but was then mainly shut due to
storms. While I was there they were opening further runs each day. It should
be really good for those of you going this Christmas.
