Default St. Moritz instead of Laax

The women's racing has been moved to St. Moritz on Dec. 20 - 21 because Laax
could make the piste safe enough with only artificial snow.

So a lot of very hard all-night work by the locals to build a piste with
artificial snow has resulted in nothing. And the weather is not looking good
for Christmas / New Year skiing at the moment.

Is that general for the whole of Switzerland? What's the new year forecast for
central Switzerland, do you know?

Not that they'd know that far ahead I guess...

Hi,

Don't really know about the whole of Switzerland but this side can be very
dry in my experience. Don't expect great skiing round here but there is
always the chance of snow - we're expecting a bit in a few days but it is
way too warm so it'll be rain about 1,500m.

The further west one goes the more precipitation in winter as a rough rule.

I'm now off to annoy the guys who spent a week making the piste that's now
not going to be used :-)

Murphy's Law says there'll be a metre of real snow on it by the 20th.
