Gorillapod-DSLR for $1. List is $49. Overkill, but cute. Detachable
thing that attaches to your camera, but I'd rather have the usual big
turny-thing attatched to the 1/4-20.

As I was saying about psychopaths using rsa as their own private newsgroup?

Not that good a deal. $8 from Hong Kong via ebay. The $49 one will
hold BIG cameras.

Good Job! I found some money at a very rainy golf tournament.

Ebay had some for $8. I also found somebody selling one for $79. "You
only gotta sell one!" This one is too light for a serious DSLR
(carrying capacity 1.75 pounds) and is discontinued. Works fine for my P&S.

Best actual "find" was $40 in a duffle bag from a church rummage sale.

Not bad, but I done better. A stack of 70's Superman comic books at a
garage sale. The owner wanted ten cents apiece for them. I offered a
buck for the stack and he took it. They are worth about 50 bucks
apiece.

Vote for Romney. Repeal the nightmares.

I rode up with a guy last trip who was bragging that he got a gift of
old skis from a friend, and when he took them in for tuneup, the shop
said his bindings were in recall (so I thought of your situation).
When the new bindings came in, they didn't fit his skis (is such a
thing possible?) so he got a new pair of skis free (I'm not sure who
paid for them, and the lift got to the top before I could ask).
