Skis and boots in roof box

Will it harm my skis if I keep them in a bag in my roof box for a few
weeks? The edges are dry and it would be convenient to get them out of the
house until the next trip but I am concerned that temperature changes will
cause condensation which will rust the edges. Similarly for the boots
(although they wouldn't rust, they might mold). Am I correct to be
concerned about it or can I through my ski stuff back in the box and get it
out of my way?

Depends on how tight the box seals. If it seals well, don't open it. Any
condensation will stay on the outside of the box then. Used to use this
trick with expensive cameras and lenses when I had them out in the cold.
Put them in a plastic bag before bringing them into the house and let
them warm up that way. All of the condensation would form in the bag
leaving the camera dry.
