Default Brush fire closes 395 near Mammoth

A fire started Friday morning near Sherwin Grade, the hill from Bishop to Mammoth, burned 7000 acres so far and 40+ buildings along the Old 395 alignment.

That's going to be rough on those folks - 40 or so houses burned in a
town of only a few hundred, in a winter storm cycle. I hope they can
manage to find suitable shelter quick, near their desired habitat.
That's some nice country that'd be hard to duplicate elsewhere.
