Panorama Mountain Village, BC - first time visit
Hi, we are visiting Panorama mid Jan and wondered if anyone had any "must
do" or "must avoid" suggestions whilst we are there. Are there any good independent (not Intrawest) websites worth looking at? Also does anyone know the nearest radio station that we could pick up via the net. TIA Merry Xmas and great skiing! Andrew |

Panorama Mountain Village, BC - first time visit
Andrew
We visited Panorama last January, and had a great time. Stayed at the Panorama Springs in the resort, right on the slopes. You could be first on/last off if you desired. The Springs has a great out-door hot pool/Jacuzzi/sauna complex that you will have to try. Free to guests, I'm not sure if there is a charge to non-residents. I am a green/blue skier so there was a lot of the mountain that we did not even cover, cross-country is a short walk away. and heli-skiing is right on your door-step. Eating out can become repetitive, within the resort, but you can try to get into town. When you need a break from skiing take a walk along the river really peaceful and some lovely scenery if you like that kind of thing. I would love to go back there someother time when I've improved and could do more. Some good news is that they have replaced some T-bars with quad lifts, to the top of the mountain. Finally there could have been a little bit more snow, but looking at the website they have got quite a lot now, and as for queues, well there was no such thing. Have a great visit. -- Peter in the UK |
