Default Klister for ice

Any ideas for kick waxing for sheer ice conditions...basically ice rink
conditions...in fact that's why I ask...looking for the extra edge in
broomball, although Minnesota trails are about as icy. Is icing a
problem if I go to warm? Would the swix ice klister be the best or
would something like universal work well?

-Klister on the trails, klister on the rinks, klister on mean people's
toilet seats

many answers, this is one:
if temp is below ca -6C then any blue klister would be fine.
If temp is closer to 0C then consider violet and swix flexi.
If temp goes from -5C to a little over 0C then consider Rode
Multigrade.
Swix universal has a more limited use area than universal from Rode and
Start.
In fact I'm considering giving away all my Swix universal tubes :-)

A nice "feature" of the Start Wide Universal is that Start has some
silver klister blended into their universal. The silver color provides
a visual aid in rubbing the kister to a uniformly thin layer.

The ice will usually be quite abrasive, so start with a base of green
klister as a binder and cover with usually blue ("scare") klister.
