Schumacher's helmet cam
"Investigators believe Michael Schumacher's skiing accident was made
worse by helmet camera" Reported all over... Sounds like utter nonsense, as much as I'd like to slam helmet-cams. |

It depends on mounting used. It makes sense as there have been multiple suppositions and speculations. If you drill holes you stand a chance of damaging helmet, often the adhesive is so so. Shoe glue is a good fix. But if you have an extended holder and you can create more forces with leverage or create a punch to penetrate the helmet if you hit just right The best way is bullet cam with stretchable strap over helmet. the thing I posted went into much detail on his crash |

Anything hard mounted on a helmet would be something to focus energy on a point of the helmet. Doesn't sound like nonsense to me. Might be quite a video. |

But if you have an extended holder and you can create more forces with leverage or create a punch to penetrate the helmet if you hit just right I noticed that the helmet cams worn by the girls in yesterday's snowboard cross at Sochi were very loosely attached and kept falling off, probably for that very reason. |
