Must be a matter of taste and circumstance. I've been in them on the
mountain. Hunkered down and waited for them to pass. The worst bits
usually come in gusts.

I live in Michigan. We don't get hurricanes, earthquakes, mudslides,
tsunamis, forest fires, or volcanoes. We get snow storms which you
call blizzards and an occasional tornado. Our biggest fears is Asian
carp, and government spending.

Vote for Romney. Repeal the nightmares.

low bid

Thanks guys. I couldn't get close enough to get any pictures.
Now think about this:
KBL is out, the peak restaurant is out (for planned replacement)
what will Killington do? When I know, I'll keep you posted. The
mountain is still there that's what's important.

Do you need anything?
I am coming up to Lime Rock vintage festival for next few days, and I
have a spare generator, my ups did fine with the amount of time we lost
electric here. about 330k of other long island residents are not so
happy with electric flow
If there is anything I can do let me know, will be leaving 5:30 on
friday morning and could head to you friday evening after we qualify

Glad to hear you're Ok.

The worst flood in the memory of many people currently
alive was in 1973 and it wasn't anywhere as bad as this.

That would have been Hurricanne Agnes, right?

I don't think so since the 1973 flood was in April,
April 1 if memory serves. Some april fool!

I remember Agnes, although I was a youngster - some serious flooding
along the Delaware, and I presume elsewhere as well.

Too bad we don't get snow Hurricaines. Those would be loads of fun.

ayup!

The
worst on record was 1927 which is counted as the hundred
year event. When all is cleared, I bet we came very close
to matching that event. I know we did in Ludlow since I've
been doing some flood plain work there and I know where the
1927 line was and it was met.

THANK YOU!
No, we're fine. We practiced the 7 p's adequately and
the fact that we are essentially on an island, we are
quite untouched though the same can't be said of several
neighbors.

Actually it's quite amazing. If you only looked at my
house including the river behind you would never know
we had a storm much less a 100 year storm event.

True enough, but you also don't have mountains to speak of.

The Appalachians and the rockies aren't real mountains. I've been to
the Alps.
