Depends on your chosen route.
Via France or Belgium/Germany Around about 10 - 12 Hours should be achievable, depending on weather of course. -- Keith The e-mail address on my messages is non-operative and unchecked. Travel time to lech
I got this from one of my friends who goes there yearly from the UK .
Hope it helps . Nigel ------- It takes around 12 hours. 13.5 with stops for breaky and lunch. This years route was shorter at 625 miles. A26 peage to Reims, A4 to Strasbourg via Metz. Cross into Germany via Kehl to pick up A5 to Freiburg. 31 via Titisee (!) to Tuttlingen. A81 then A98, back on 31 to Friedrickshafen then 54 to the A96 just before Bregenz. After that you know the way! Averaged around 60mph and 30 mpg both ways. Not bad, eh? That's at 130-5kph cruise on the motorways. Travel time to lech
I live in Holland & for many years I used to drive down to Arlberg/St
Anton. Flights are so cheap now & the train is relaxing I dont bother with the car anymore. However, I do miss those stopover nights in some quaint Stube in a nice German town :-) Jeremy Westhead wrote: Many thanks to both. roughly what I thought. now i need to do the maths and compare with flights (factoring convenience and other things!)
