Do you want to see the culture of the place you're staying at, or are you happy to be in a place predominantly populated by Brits (or Germans)? Do you speak French, German or Italian already? If so, would you like to go to a country where you can practice it? Do you want to be right on the slopes, or is down in the valley OK? Andrew,
I've just this minute booked with Thomson Fly from Robil Hood to Lyon. If you use the Friday or Monday flights it's only GBP 54.82 return. The bus from Lyon Airport to the 3 Valees resorts is EURO 83 return. I'm off to La Tania and will be staying at the Hotel Telemark, EURO 55 a night B&B. Just a 3 day ski this time but will have a full week there in February. Even thinking of a short trip in March. Yes. I used to go there as a kid to the air show. The Queen went there in
silver Jubilee year 1977. (shows I am getting old). I would suggest you come and stay here in Muehlbach, but no flights yet . There are flying to Salzburg in the summer but not now, Which is a pain because my Mum lives in S****horpe so the airport is right on her doorstep. From Humberside you can get to Salzburg but about £200!!!! Nigel -- Winter and Summer holidays in the alps!!! www.austrianfamilyholidays.co.uk |
