Default Alpine Meadows

Thinking of getting a season pass here. Is this place any good? Does
it get crowded with long lift lines?

Thanks

Good.

It's the best skiing at Tahoe, if you can access the off piste.

Does it get crowded with long lift lines?

No. Controlled ticket sales. But even that doesn't matter - if you have
a pass, you'll quickly learn how to avoid even the small groups that do
sometimes gather.

Thanks

Is the Summit Six chair more or less crowded than Northstar's backside?

To coin a phrase, nobody goes to Northstar's backside - it's too crowded
there.

Sum6 never crowds up like Northstar. Don't sweat the small stuff, grab
your pass and never look back.

Why would you be thinking of getting a season pass at a place you have never
skiied? I would suggest a day pass first... at 32 bucks its hard to beat...

And yes its a great area with lots of open rolling cruising... for my money
more enjoyable than Squaw, but your mileage may vary

Heh. If you think the attraction at Alpine Meadows is "open rolling
cruising," you need to be a little more adventurous.

After this month the pass goes from 200 to 500.

Plus, Squaw Valley is 1600.
