Default Report: Peaking... no snow... missed race... rollerski frenzy

I'm finally in shape this season. I botched last week's race and wanted
to do it right today, for a last hurrah. But we have a dinner to attend
so I couldn't go up north. Waaah. So I went out and rollerskied our
biggest local hill to let it all out. For an hour straight I did a
dozen or more max repeats of a quarter-mile long steep hill. Heart rate
180 at the top every time, 130 by the time I got back down to the
bottom, no breaks except to roll back down. Man, it felt great. Too bad
it all had to go to waste... Oh well, it was a lovely blue sky day. Now
off to dinner. I hope all you lucky snow junkies had good ones today!

No Boyne for me. Shoveling, ice picking the driveway clean.
The Vasaloppet has taken its toll and i'm cooked. Time to start running.
WAxed the skis and put them away ... oh, did leave out my rock skaters for a
crust ski next weekend when it freezes up.
Tons of snow everywhere here and 50 deg F. weird.
