Obski: You just can't make this stuff up
Miko the pooch wrote:
Yesterday was about perfect. The breeze kept everything cool. The skiing was kind of boring. I'm not going back up until they put the bumps back on Ramrod. The levelled everything to let some people in tight suits run a race course. Well, at this point, I am not that picky. I will be up this weekend and just get in any kind of turn I can get in. I am going to guess this will be the last weekend for a lot of the terrain east of Lenawee lift. The meadow on the bottom portion of that lift is going to reveal vegatation real soon now. As far as bumps on Ramrod. Not me, this season. That snow isn't real thick anymore. That avalanche last year really spooked them. There is a bunch of terrain that was closed with a lot more snow than what I remember skiing in previous years. I think that would be TWO years ago. My 2006 notes that they closed Pali on May 15. Even earlier this year. I agree, they do indeed act REAL SPOOKED. Sam "21 weeks to go for the Loveland opening" Seiber |
