I've been essentially trapped in a house with elderly family and whacky
in-laws. In order to kill conversations with the willfully ignorant, I
tacitly agreed (in no particular order) to the following.

1) Mexicans are stealing all the good dishwashing, fruitpicking and leaf
blowing jobs from the native born here in the USA.
2) GW Bush faced extraordinary challenges during his presidency and is
simply the victims of circumstances.
3) "Big Drug Companies" give children immunizations to destroy their
immune systems so they can sell them antibiotics in the future.
4) There is a company based in Florida that is perfecting a "perpetual
motion machine" based on the correct placement of magnets. This would
make an excellent investment.
5) The ACLU is anti American and should be forced to disband.

If one of them had said "Ah figger nigh on a hunnert percent of rocket
power comes from that yeller flame on the bottom" I would have nodded
politely to that too, as I got up to refill my glass.

I believe him because he worked with the retired Air Force Colonel who began
involvement in the Delta Space Launch Systems in 1966. That same retired
Colonel gave me a private guided tour of the Hansen Experimental Physics
Labs at Stanford.

You, on the otherhand, are a nobody ****wad with a computer exhibiting
rudimentary typing skills. Don't you have some groomers to snowplow?

Well, since a Delta IV has no wings, I would say that 100% of its lift

You know well we discussed the inverted flight of a FA-!8. Ski San Diego.

Quick question: How can an aircraft which cannot maintain airspeed going
straight up possibly be using thrust to stay aloft while inverted when
the percentage of total thrust availabe is equal to the sine of the
angle of the thrust line to the horizontal (e.g. 50% of the engine's
thrust is all that will be available when the thrust line is 30 degrees
from horizontal)?

So run the numbers, bright boy!

Sorry, but the snow's been deep and delicious for the past two days.

Yes we did.

So why the misdirection with the Delta IV?

If you are the person who doesn't read Spanish and therefore never got
to see the advert for the job, that's true.

2) GW Bush faced extraordinary challenges during his presidency and is
simply the victims of circumstances.

Could be argued for any US president since they are all basically
performing monkeys.

3) "Big Drug Companies" give children immunizations to destroy their
immune systems so they can sell them antibiotics in the future.

In Africa this has been proven to be the actual fact. See also GM
crops for th rationale.

4) There is a company based in Florida that is perfecting a "perpetual
motion machine" based on the correct placement of magnets. This would
make an excellent investment.

There is one in Ireland who even placed an advert in the Economist a
couple of years back:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steorn. It has
attracted investment.

5) The ACLU is anti American and should be forced to disband.

The ACLU is anti-EVERTHING. It therefore follows logically it is also
anti-AMERICAN.

Is this like that drinking bird that dips its beak into the water and then
bounces back up?
If so, it's been done! Someone should tell them.

Yes! I had one of those. It keeps going on.
