I just saw an old Bronson western, Breakheart Pass, that I saw 30 years
ago. I really like that movie. Another one I don't see too much any
more is Cheyenne Autumn (although I understand all the extras were
Navajo). Any suggestions for viewing outside of the John Wayne/Clint
Eastwood stuff?

Josey Wales has been on TV so much that I'm seeing Horned Toads in my
sleep. I need a few suggestions on stuff that doesn't show up every
weekend. Stuff that gets over-exposed:

John Wayne/Howard Hawks Westerns - Rio Bravo etc Wayne, drunk sheriff,
young gun slinger
Good, Bad and the Ugly - the director's cut drives me bonkers
Eastwood's Dollar Westerns
Joe Kidd
High Plains Drifter and Its remake Pale Rider

let's see

maybe
The Wild Bunch
Magnificent Seven

The 2003 Costner-Duvall flick "Open Range" is quite good, and has some
beautiful Albertan scenery.

Shichinin no samurai is a better western.
Plus it isn't stolen uncredited from Dashiel Hammett.

Thanks; I'll keep an eye out for it.
But Ichinshin no skier is funnier.

Nah, I got burned out on samurai bushido's self-righteous mentality;

Plus it isn't stolen uncredited from Dashiel Hammett.

Blind Swordsman is much easy going, kinder, skillful, and entertaining.

Thanks for compliment, "if you don't laugh, it probably ain't real."
