Default Delaware

......a relatively flat state -- especially in the south, I'm thinking,
but.....my brother is moving to Lewes near Cape Henlopen Park. Does
anyone here know if there is XC skiing there or anywhere nearby? It
seems like there might be some trails in Henlopen, but I dont see it
anywhere on their website. He has invited me for just after Christmas,
and I would like to take my skis along if there is any snow.

I lived in Wilmington, Delaware in the late 60s. Don't remember much
snow.
Wasn't very cold either. But you might get lucky. There was the occasional
blizzard. Nice beach at Lewes.

It's hit or miss down there - my parents have lived in Wilmington for
over 20 years and some years my dad can get 30-40 days of golf course
skiing and other years none. On the coast, and to the south, you're
obviously less likely to have any luck, and I know for sure that there
are no groomed trails in the state. Closest are in the Poconos in PA
or in West Virginia.

So, check before you go, but don't get your hopes up.

Thanks. I emailed the park, and they said they have no trails because
they don't get enough snow. Oh well...it was just a thought.
