Falun relays
NRK streamed the men's relay with only one early stop. 5F at start,
afternoon spring condtions. After Joiner and Vylegzhanin broke open the pack, Petter Northug crossed the gap and outsprinted them. The US was 10:40 mins back. Kris Freeman had relatively the best leg skating, losing 1:13. Chris Cook came into the stadium with the pack at 5k on the opening leg, but ended up nearly 2 mins back. Wonder what happened there. Breaking the results down, the winners skied at 6.11 m/sec average, the US at 5.56 m/sec. Classical: 5.65 vs. 5.10 m/s; Skate: 6.65 vs. 6.12 m/s. rm |
