Default Trail Groomer Plans

Here we go again...I'm looking for plans for a personal trail
groomer/track setting device, preferably human powered. I know that
there have been many, many posts on this in the past but unfortunately
I did not archive them. Any help would be appreciated.

My dad cobbled one together a while ago and I posted it here as a lark. A
Canadian club has it on their website. Check it out:

Good luck!

The trick is finding a balance between having enough weight for packing the
snow and the amount of power you have to pull.

Mine looked like a short toboggan with a sheet metal base (friction reduction).
I could pack about 75 lbs on there and still be able to haul it without having
a heart attack. Worked well.

Unfortunately, I parked it in the woods too late in spring, and someone took
it, so I'll be making another once it looks like it's going to snow again.
