Alex Harvey out of the Canadian team!

Epilogue of the Alex Harvey saga:

Yesterday (Friday), Tom Holland and Alex Harvey agreed with some
compromise on both sides. Alex will participate to three out of the
four Canadian "A" team camps during the dry season (Alex wished to
participate only to two of them), and Mr. Holland will let Alex go
with his personal coach (Louis Bouchard) to his xc-ski camp on snow in
Dachstein, Austria with his Quebec teammates in October (Mr. Holland
wanted he stays with the A team for a dry training camp in
California).
What to learn from all this? It seems to that the organization heading
the CCC team does not listen much to their protégés; we have heard
that some CCC skiers wanted to go training in Quebec for the summer
with the QC squad, and this permission was denied. We will certainly
hear again this sort of confrontation next year, whatever happens to
Alex this year.
For sure, it will be very a very exciting year watching him and his
teammates skiing on the WC circuit and, of course, the Olympics. Good
