Thanks for this. Trying to watch the sprint semis, the audio is fairly
continuous but is anyone getting more than 3 or 4 seconds of continuous
live video?

I've found a way to watch NRK live on your computer, so if anybody else
has a capture card in thier computer they could cap the races.
1. Open WMP
2. Go to open url...
3. For NRK1 enter in mms://straumV.nrk.no/nrk_tv_webvid03_m
For NRK2 enter in mms://straumV.nrk.no/nrk_tv_webvid04_m

It's as easy as that, and the quality is really decent too. It's all
live with a 0 second delay approximately. Enjoy!

During the half hour before the races started and during the first
race, I had a perfect picture. Then, like you, it degenerated into
intermittent video for the rest of the races.

On Monday the feed was choppy at best. New Years Day the broadcast was
continuous and near perfect. Today again choppy. Must be all those
Norwegians hard at work in their offices...

That's the link to live tv during the races of Tour de Ski!

An alternative for accessing the Norwegian broadcasting transmissions
live over the internet is via Zattoo which streams NRK1 and NRK2 plus
several other European sources. Their software is a free download for
PC or Mac. Here in the Oslo area, Zattoo streaming of NRK1 seems to
work better than streaming video from the NRK site. How does it work
from North American?

There are not any channels currently available from zatoo.com in
Eastern Canada (at least from Quebec).
Streaming from NRK1 is indeed highly variable from day to day.
However, I could not save a decent race yet for posting. I hope
somebody can decode the races posted by Tassava (at
http://groups.google.ca/group/rec.sk...3cbea4a6358f3).
