My first Wisconsin snowflakes of the season!!!!!!!
We were up at Crex Meadows Wildlife Area (NW WI near Grantsburg) on
Friday, Oct. 1 checking out conditions for the duck season opener the next day. It had been raining pretty steadily all morning. At 2 PM the rain mixed with big, wet, floppy flakes of snow for about 20 minutes but then everything quit. Hopefully it won't be long before the real stuff hangs around.
