Riding gear prices
I'm interested in riding and looking buy some gear. I've been advised on
the brands, sizes etc of the gear that I should get from friends that are professional riders. I figured that if I shop on-line that I'd be able to find some attractive pricing. At least better than the full retail pricing that one usually finds at the shop or at the manufacturer's web page. However, I've found that the MSRP is the going price not only at the shop, manunfacturers web page but for EVERY other site selling this gear. Is that just the reality for snowboard gear or haven't I found the right place to shop yet? Thanks, Steve |

Wait a little while if you can. Rent gear if you need to until you start seeing some good deals and sales. My last spending spree was at a big sale late last March at the local shop (http://www.sturtevants.com/boarderline/). MSRP for the stuff I bought added up to over $900, I paid about $550. -Jules -- Jules Agee http://learning.snowboarding2.com |

Thanks, Steve I've found the best time to buy is around Groundhog Day in March or if you can't wait maybe late Feb. Also, there is really no reason you should be buying new gear from this season. Ebay has a boatload of new gear from prior seasons that is in great shape. If you must have a board, get it from there. |
