REAL Summer Training
For all those sissy roller skiers out there, see how some of the TOP
juniors train during the warm summer months. Check out fasterskier.com today (7/6), or the Far West Nordic website at http://www.farwestnordic.org/fwphoto...arade2004.html for some hot ski training techniques. Mark |

REAL Summer Training
Markee -
Let your juniors up there know that while they were tromping around on thier skis in a fourth of July parade, kids from New England were up training on the Dachstein Glacier in Austria. I ran into a group of them when I was up there earlier this week, along with a team of surly, utterly humorless Germans. bt |

REAL Summer Training
Hi June,
I hate to spoil it, but RonS was joking. Stone grinding uses precision equipment to flatten and resurface the ski. See Zach's page http://www.engineeredtuning.net/index.html for example. Mark's truckee parade photo might be called "pavement grinding" - not the same thing ;-) Bob And, no, I don't know why anyone would grind perfectly usable skis into the pavement. I can only hope that the photo was staged in some way and that "no ptex was harmed in making this picture" :-0 "Diva" wrote in message ... No I haven't. June "RonS" wrote in message ... Okay, Bob. Thanks. I'm not usually such a dunderhead, but when it comes =
to skiing I am really an amateur.=20 June "Bob" wrote in message = ... Hi June, I hate to spoil it, but RonS was joking. Stone grinding uses precision equipment to flatten and resurface the ski. Sorry June ... yes I was attempting a joke. Guess I should have used the smiley
face. I'd guess those skis are dedicated to pavement skiing now. Diva wrote: Okay, Bob. Thanks. I'm not usually such a dunderhead, but when it comes to skiing I am really an amateur. Ron, don't apologize. It's not YOUR fault I didn't get it. I hang out =
here to learn about equipment and anything else that piques my interest, = but I'm not a racer -- never will be -- and don't know squat about = grinding/waxing and all that sort of thing.=20 June "RonS" wrote in message = ...
