From the pages of Grenaderen.com, a 90km classic race, I can read:

"Ved å gå Grenader-løpet kan du si at du er en ekte skiløper"
translated:
"By doing the Grenaderen race you can call yourself a real skier"

ok :-) So I'm not...

I saw in interview with Larissa Lazutina in a russian ski magazine the
other day (I am sure nobody will question her being a real skier).
Apart from other things, she was talking about her experience of
racing the 90 K Vasaloppet classic race in 2000 or 2001... don't
remember. Anyway, she said that before that race she's never skied
more than ~50-60K in a row. If I remember rightly, she won the race
with ~10 min behind the 1st male finisher.

Nope, won't disagree with "real", but I'd add a few more adjectives like:
"cheating", "doped", "NESP-laden" and I'd add a few more expletives
but this is a pretty civil newsgroup that doesn't need that sort of
thing.
