Default I did not know that!

I feel that I know a fair amount about the sport of ski racing, yet I
know that there is so much more that I don't know. I learned
something new today that was somewhat surprising to me. Now, it's
pretty obvious that multi-evet ski racers have skis for every event
that they enter (SL, GS, SG, DH) and even multiple pair of each type
of ski. What I learned today was that they ALSO have different boots
for different events. I wold never have guessed that. I figured one
"perfect" pair of boots for all events - guess not.

Hey wait a minute! Are you trying to set me up to look like some kind of
female ski racer stalker with a foot fetish?

Well, I'm not! But then again, if they looked liked these babies...
Snifffff, ahhhhhhhh....

I tried two atomic boots yesterday a 100 flex and a 130 flex. The 130
has a wider top strap and a stiffer thinner liner which felt less
confortable than the 100 flex. The 100 flex felt very snug and when I
drove my shin forward I felt more compression in the liner than I felt
in 130 flex.
I think if I have not reversed it but the stiffest boot is used for
slalom and a relative softer boot is used in downhill.

Thanks Michael. I was wondering what flex went with what events. So,
stiffer for technical, softer for speed.
