Anyone recommend a better group?
Eugene Miya wrote: Say what? First it was thin. It rained and drizzled my first day skiing (I didn't bother venturing off the packed track: new skis) so I went in, took a friend to late lunch went to see a film in Reno. Resorts weren't much better on coverage (off piste was rock ski territory). Slide-Rose was closed (1/2 of Rose wasn't worth the ticket). KT was a joke. Alpine was windy (a lot of the new fallen snow just got blown off). I caught Bear Valley last Wed for my first day out this season. 12 inches of freshies on an adequate (barely) base,. Skied the tress all day with only one base scratch! I had the chance on Monday to go climbing, skiing or hiking/peak bagging. Didn't feel like rock climbing and I couldn't persuade myself that a tour would scratch my itch. I knew descents were out of the question... so I went hiking instead. Pitiful huh? But I'm poised, boards are waxed, just waiting for the tide to come in eh? Used to get all anxious about the start of the season, but El Nino or La Nina I seem to get the same amount of skiing in anyway. A sunny day at a resort I consider a waste of money and even more of time. We'll see about the next storm. Yes we will, I took Friday off in anticipation. I'll be at Ber. Whyn't join me you old son of a computer program??? DMT ps for some reason I cannot seem to get excited about web sites for skiing. Ski porn pics do not turn me on so I guess that's it. Plus other than gear wanking, what is there to talk about? |

I don;t get to Bear often but a coworker got a house off 4. One scratch?! I had 1 doozie left over from a big rock hit at Davos last Feb. Over the last 2 weeks I put a number of lesser just on packed runs. I don't even want to take the new work skis on that stuff just yet. I had the chance on Monday to go climbing, skiing or hiking/peak bagging. Didn't feel like rock climbing and I couldn't persuade myself that a tour would scratch my itch. I knew descents were out of the question... so I went hiking instead. I am thinking of hauling Chris from r.c. to Tollhouse. Pitiful huh? Yeah, a little. You have to say "Pitiful" like Buddy "Jed Clampet" Ebsen did. But I'm poised, boards are waxed, just waiting for the tide to come in eh? Oh surfer. Yvon would like you. Used to get all anxious about the start of the season, but El Nino or La Nina I seem to get the same amount of skiing in anyway. A sunny day at a resort I consider a waste of money and even more of time. Well, what happens, happens. I'm just amazed that I saw a $6 all day adult lift ticket. We'll see about the next storm. Yes we will, I took Friday off in anticipation. I'll be at Ber. Whyn't join me you old son of a computer program??? Friday: small car repair, so I will head to the Swiss consulate annex via bike and train. Convince them to come skiing some time and doing future research together. Xxxx is the main ski trip in the immediate future. I would guess they have wireless there now; I can moderate my news group, post, check FAQ fixes, etc. ps for some reason I cannot seem to get excited about web sites for skiing. Ski porn pics do not turn me on so I guess that's it. Plus other than gear wanking, what is there to talk about? I would rather go skiing. Well many things which happen in Nevada stay in Nevada. I got a number of very risque adult tokens of the old Mustang Ranch as gifts for adult friends (well I did bring these back). I have to decide how I plan to drive to skiing across NV (not that I plan a stop to ski Wheeler or the Rubies or E. Humbolts). Or Charleston (have to do that some time). I don't even subscribe to ski rags. Talk about what you want to talk about. Let's see, how we can pull the Vail over the next newbie? Powder preservation. Snow history/layers at location Xxx. I was talking over New Years to Fair about Norway. NNTP's author is Norwegan. But his family is from the S and I am looking more North of Bergan. Oh, I dunno, there's potentially lots to talk about but that would spill the privacy beans (what's left). I like the Vail idea. Gotta head home. Weekly hacker dinner. -- |

Pitiful huh? But I'm poised, boards are waxed, just waiting for the tide to come in eh? Tide was way out Monday afternoon at Point Reyes. (No gouges in my skis from that trip.) -- These are my opinions, not necessarily my employer's. I hate spam. |

telemarktips.com is definitely the place for BC ski info. Check out
the forums section for info. and great pics. If anyone knows a regular cross country site of that quality, I'd sure like to know about it. |
