This hat's never moulted. Wish it wasn't so warm though. And it's black... I
still reckon it's made from a cat. Or possibly several cats. Black cats.

Well, I've never seen a black rabbit, and the fact that it hasn't molted
would also indicate that it's not rabbit.

Cat? Perhaps. Here's how to tell: Ask it to do something, and if it just
sits there oblivious to your importunations, it's very likely cat.

hmmm. it's awfully sleek and shiny. Not soft and fluffy like a rabbit. What
chinese fur animals are there to make black hats out of (that don't moult?).

Well, the panda is always a popular choice. No idea if panda fur molts
when it gets wet. Are there any white spots?

Oh dear. That does look like the fur.

It looks much better on the animal that on a hat, I must say.

Nup, none. just some very fine quilted silk/satin inside (but it's black
too).

It would be better it it was a cat.

Let's see... I sign my real name to my posts, you know the mountain

the city I live in... but you claim I've failed to identify myself.

Mmm, you're not the sharpest tool in the shed, are you? :-)

I have also offered to meet you for a race down a *challenging
slope*... not a wax race down the bunny slope where the fattest guy
wins. We each put up $1000, winner takes all. But you chickened out.

Bluff called. Bwak, Bwak....

****. He knows what I look like. Where I live, work. Where I ski. I'm
not hiding. Many people from this group could pick me out of a crowd.
He never asks me for ID before an invitation to meet. What's his
excuse for me again? I've forgotten.

I only own fur from baby seals. And no, it doesn't molt when wet.

I've got the old skins my parents used to use on their skis before there
were lifts. Apparently they were made from seals. Yuck.
