Snow Report

I flew NCE - LHR on Thursday lunchtime (right-hand side window seat), and I
can categorically say there is absolutely no snow in the Southern Alps.

Nice view of the Les Deux Alps glacier though, and there was some cloud cover
north of the Oisans, with Mont Blanc peeking through the top.

How depressing! I am meant to be going to Tignes in 2 weeks time and
still no snow. There'll have to be snow soon otherwise the start of the
season will have to be delayed again like last year....

Looks like they've kicked off the snowmaking in Val to try and save the
Critérium de la Première Neige.

They started snowmaking around this time last year for the Criterium.
