Default Snowboard Journal

Congrats to Baka Dasai and Mike T and Neil Gendzwill! Saw your quotes in
the article "arc: the art of carving" in the 006 issue of The Snowboard
Journal. Though not a hardbooter myself, I was really inspired and now
want to rip down a freshly groomed run myself.

OK, now I'm going to find a copy! I had no idea I had been quoted

Me, neither. Hope I said something good - they must have pulled those
from that BOL thread where they asked for reasons to ride hardboots.

I'd post the quotes but I thought it would be a better surprise when you
find it in the article

I finally picked up a copy today. I was hoping for a little more editorial
in the article, but seeing any coverage whatsoever of hardbooting in a
positive light made me very happy. The rest of the article is quite
big-mountain oriented and that was good to read as well.

Even though it is IMHO overpriced, I am thinking about subscribing, it is
very refreshing to see a *readable* snowboard magazine with some actual
content.

BTW, if you have trouble fidning it, try Borders. I recall reading that
snowboard shops were the best bet,m but alas, none of the ones in my area
carry it for sale, they just had a single shop copy.

congrats on the mention. The Borders by me started carrying Frequency
which I've just taken a subscription on. Its a bit pricey, but not the
kind of thing you toss in the john and are done with in 15 mins. Worth
keeping for the photography alone.

Barnes and Nobles carries it as well. Actually, both Snowboard Journal and
Frequency- and in Kentucky no less!

Some stores do and some don't. The B&N near me has both. The Borders
about two blocks from the B&N has neither.

Yeah, its a great mag. I subscribed for one year, read them all, but
just couldn't stomach the $40 for a 4 issue renewel. I know its great
pictures and thick paper...but I'd rather they go with thinner stock,
more ads, and then drop the price or add issues.

Hope it stays around, though, either way. Its a quality product and a
refreshing change from all the skate oriented snowboard magazines.
(nicer to see more of a well-rounded "Powder" type snowboard
magazine...come to think of it, its just too bad that Powder is so
snobby about being Skier only...that's a perfect place for a combined
sport powder loving magazine. I'm off my soapbox now...
