Beginner boarder - board advice
Hello all,
I'm sure you've had a hundred posts like mine in this group, but please bare with me. I'm a beginner boarder, been out twice, and I'm looking to buy a fairly cheap beginner/intermediate board, as the cost of renting boards is something like $25-30 CDN a pop. I'm not looking for a long term board, just something that will get me through 8-10 trips out on the mountain before I need to sell it and upgrade. That said, I found (what I think) is a good deal on a new board and bindings that are on sale right now, but I know nothing of brands. Can I get some input on this setup? It's a package with a Morrow Lithium board and Morrow Invasion bindings for $210 CDN. Morrow's website: http://www.morrowsnowboards.com/ I also found a K2 Fuse package (w/ Lamar MX-30 bindings) for $280 CDN and a K2 Illusion package (w/ Lamar MX-30 bindings) for $300, but I could think of other things that I would like to spend those $70 on... like getting a helmet! Nothing good can be said of rental helmets. Thanks! |
