Useless information is stating that a pro rider won a contest using
"xxx" bindings, so that means the binding is good for freestyle/pipe. How do you know he isn't using a prototype, a self modified version, or just using the name Flow? So what if someone wins a contest with Flows? Does that mean that all past Flow bindings are good for freestyle/pipe? Absolutely not, you can only go by track history! |

The entry level models probably aren't going to win any prizes doing anything (though if a pro were to ride with them, they very well might). The point is that Flow makes a wide range of models. You originally claimed that Flows are too stiff for freestyle. If you said that after riding the Team model, fine. If not, then stop painting with a broad brush. -- Robert |

"TallPaul" wrote in message oups.com... I have been using Flows now for 6 years and now feel it's time to hang them up and go for straps. A friend of mine has just purchased the Burton P1's and I must admit they look very nice. I would appreciate your feedback on what's about these days. I fancy something light and supportive for freeriding. I see they also do a carbon version in the P1's. TallPaul. I've been using P1MDs for about 3 years now and I'm really impressed. I've got through about 4 buckles and a set of toe straps but each time a quick call to Burton and spares turn up a few days later. Can't say better than that. I guess a lot of people think all the tool-less adjustment is a bit gimmicky but I find I do actually make use of it. I set the straps forward for messing about in the park but if I'm doing a long run, especially at the end of the day when I'm knackered then moving the straps back makes things a lot more relaxed. I notice the Nideckers seem to be popular in this group which is good because I've just got some carbon 900s for my 2nd board. I've no idea if they're any good but I wanted to experiment with some stiffer bindings and these look amazingly well built. Got them for a song as well. Looks like the season will be starting in a few days so I'll let you know how it goes. Cheers, Rob. |

Just got some Nidecker Pro 800 last season for my Salomon dialogues and
they work Superb to say the least. Quite stiff great support and dont hurt by way of pressure points. Wasn't interested in the carbons as weight is not a issue for me and Mega stiff is not my friend...They work good on my K2 Eldorado but the board is ten years old and with the new boots and stiff bindings it is the weak floppy link. Should be standin atop an Arbor A-frame here shortly so have to wait and seehow everything fares when it all meshes... |
