Grand Massif-Samoens
Hello all!!
Looking for some help here...Will be on the Continent 2d half of March and am considering a few days here. Would like a quaint village, good French food both below and on-mountain, with some fine skiing. Any personal experiences and/or tips and advice that you can relate would be greatly appreciated. TIA... |

TIA... Err, a bit of a general question really. Yes, all the above could be satisfied by staying in Samoens, Morrilon or les Carroz. Flaine lacks only the 'Quaint village' requirement, but is much more convenient for the skiing. My best tip, especially if you're in Flaine, is to hook up with the Ski Club rep (see sig for details) and get him/her to show you around. That's what we're there for, after all. -- Ace (brucedotrogers a.t rochedotcom) Ski Club of Great Britain - http://www.skiclub.co.uk All opinions expressed are personal and in no way represent those of the Ski Club. |

I'd not describe Morillon as quaint particulary, it's OK as is Les Carroz, not in the same league as Samoens though. Fantastic ski area and opening very soon :-) Ian -- Yeah, because you never know when the value of 2^15 will change and you have to go through all your code fixing it. -- Paul Tomblin |

Just relative to Flaine, they are :-) Fantastic ski area and opening very soon :-) No plans to get there this season - must find a free weekend... -- Ace (brucedotrogers a.t rochedotcom) Ski Club of Great Britain - http://www.skiclub.co.uk All opinions expressed are personal and in no way represent those of the Ski Club. |
