Skiing Utah
Hi, a friend and I from the UK are skiing in Utah this year in early
February (Hellgate thanks for the info). We are staying for a few days in Eden followed by week in Park City. We are experienced skiers looking for powder. We aim to ski Powder Mountain and Snowbasin followed by Park City, Alta, Solitude and Snowbird. Does anyone have any advice for our trip? Does anyone have experience of the 'Interconnect Adventure Tour'? What are the licensing/drinking laws around and about the area. Where are the best places to hire/buy skis? Where are the best bars in Eden (if any) and Park City? Are there any websites set up run by local skiers giving information on piste conditions in the area? MTIA Steve |

Best place to ski: Alta. My experience at Solitude: the lifts are so
antiquated and the mountain so small it isn't worth it. Snowbird should be called "Snowboard", and the masses out of control snowboarders make it unpleasant to say the least. Also it is poorly signed...if you want to maximize your ski adventure, I'd ski Alta and forget Solitude and Snowbird. |
