Default Men's Super G results

Very nice Bode and Daron! A tie for 1st!!! On top of putting Bode in a
very good position for the overall, the win also gives Bode the SG Globe as
Hermann did not have a good day and lost the SG points lead:

This gets really interesting. Miller can ski conservatively in finish in
the points (top 15) in the last GS and cop the Overall. But the
temptation is to go for the win and maybe cop the GS title, with the
risk of losing the Overall if he crashes out. A conundrum. What's his
choice, folks?

If Bode can stay on the SL course, looks like he has the title wrapped
up. But that is a big if...

No, it isn't. By taking second in the GS (or anything higher than,
what, fifteenth?), he clinched the overall title. He could run the
slalom blind drunk in a grass skirt and a coconut bra, and he'd still be
the overall winner.

He's a champion. There's no honor in not trying to win both the race and
the overall.

On the other hand, how will going for the win and losing the overall through
a crash effect his future $pon$or potential?

I'm guessing that he will ski conservatively (even if only subconsciously)
for the win and the overall, and we'll see a top 3 finish.

Sounds like he went all out for the GS win (and the GS Globe) but didn't
quite make it, finishing second - still collecting the Overall win.
Quite a chance to take, IMO, considering how many DNFs he's had this season.

Apparently, he cares an awful lot less for "$pon$or potential" than most
people assume he does.

"I have to find the motivation. If it's to become more famous than I am,
I have no interest in that. If it's to earn more money, i have no
interest in that. If it's the pure atmosphere, I have in interest in
that. I have some experience [two Olympics], I have Olympic medals. I'm
questioning where the motivation is going to come from...
If it's to prove I'm the best ski racer, I think I've proved that this
year..."
