Driving to Lake Tahoe from SF Bay
I have a 2003 BMW 330Ci with the stock 17" rims and stock tires
(225/50 I think). I was wondering if people have tried driving a similar car up to South or North Lake Tahoe? Which hills are the fastest to get to (i.e. best road conditions for your car)? Do you need to buy special tires or chains? I figure I can avoid days when they require chains but would probably keep them in the car just in case I'm stopped or something. Just post your responses here. Thanks. |
