Default A real skiing question

Does anyone know what the construction at A-basin is about?
Apparently they are installing a new lift for the bottom half of the
mountain, hopefully a quad. Anyone have a link to the real truth?

Who gives a ****. Snowboarders ruined the place. Ski Vail.

Berate the Prophet? Such hubris. Some other dumb**** asked a
question, and I merely mentioned that the question is meaningless,
since I shall never, ever ski the place again. For I am the Prophet.
There is actually a reason for my lack of fondness for that dump. A
couple years ago I spent five days at Dear Valet, and never once felt
the urge to choke the living sh....uh, enlighten the unenlightened.
As the Prophet knows, nothingness is rarely noticed.
On the way to Denver for the weekend, the next place I blessed with my
prescence was Arapaho, mostly because I had a free ticket received as
an offering by am acolyte.
Standing in line while boarders openly smoked dope, which I seriously
do not appreciate, as I do not need drugs to elevate consciousness.
Got shoved by one and his buddy walked over my new skis. I informed
them that they would know the anger of Vail if they didn't get their
scrawny smelly asses back in line. Lifty watched all of this bull****
with no comment. I enlightened him about proper respect for
customers, and he told me to "Chill Out".
So before I even got on the chair, I wanted to seriously enlighten
three punks. My trials became even more ridiculous when I took a
break on the warm up run to enjoy the view. Another spawn of evil ran
into me, almost knocked me down, and sped off without even an apology,
RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE PATROL!!!!!!!!
I enquired about mountain policy regarding hit and run dumb****s and
he blew me off. I got his name. And that of the liftie. And walked
right into the mountain manager's office and enlightened him.
Once he realized my lofty status in the ski world, he profusely
apologized, and bought me lunch. I still have a couple ticket
vouchers in my desk. Which I will never use.
Because Arapaho is near Vail. No brainer.

They are replacing the Exo lift with a quad. I think it's high speed.

If you are on Facebook they have been doing regular updates of their
Facebook page. I think all of the concrete should be done today and I
think most of the towers are in since I haven't heard the helicopters
in a week or so.

Snoig:

Thanks, I had seen the news about the concrete for towers, but didnb't
see anywhere where they said it was going to be a quad lift.

Hope to be in Breck in a couple of weeks at my condo and to to do some
14ers climbing to get my high altitude fix.

The berating was a mocking reference to the Usenet geeks who feel they must
abuse anyone who asks a question they deem easily answered, and intended for
the OP, not you. Get over yourself.

Unenlightened dumb****:

You do not have a clue. Nor do you apparently recognize irony when
you read it, or an obvious shtick.
Get over thine ownself. Contemplate the interior of thy being before
taking thy head out of thine own ass.

Everyone here knows that. Even trunky I suspect. But he has this need
to prove himself a tough guy. Even though repeatedly exposed as a big
mouth bully. He knows my name and identity but continually asks for
others as though he'd do something "tough" with that information. Yet
he won't show up when I set a meeting place. Go figure. He's a
retarded spaz, starved for attention, a demonstrated liar, and
reported child molester (of his own brother no less!). He's so low on
the evolutionary ladder that we expose and make fun of him constantly
and he keeps coming back for more. Don't let him bother you.
