Yea, both of them, but Jumbo is closer to you. I heard (read) many

of the
locals down in yer neck of the woods were not very happy with the

plans. I
think you have plenty of ski areas within a day's drive myself (not

to mention
the plethora of heli operators, touring options and huts available).

"Unhappy with the plans" is somewhat of an understatement. They are
livid.

The first one is a picture of the Lake of the Hanging Glaciers taken
from the summit of Glacier Dome ~10,000 ft from the spot were they

want
to build a Teahouse. It would be accessed by a gondola from the

valley
bottom.

BTW, I meant that Glacier Dome has an elevation of ~10,000 ft... not
that the picture was taken ~10,000 ft from the spot were they want to
build a Teahouse.

Seems like an awful lot of glaciers, seracs and crevases for the Deer

Valley
crowd to be negociating?

In the winter it won't be a problem, the cravasses will be buried under
metres of snow. I imagine they'll limit their summer skiing to some of
the permanent snow fields (instead of the glaciers) where cravasses
won't be a problem.

Have a look at their website for info on what they plan to do for
year-round skiing.

That should have been:

Which name strongly suggests that it was December of 1998, BTW.

No. This should be included in the "skid and slip" discussion. On the
bright side he saves money by never having to have them tuned...
