Default All Snowboarding Sells Out

Get ready for the end of snowboarding as we know it.

Get ready to exchange the universal snowboarder greeting "Whoa, dude,
are you OK?" for "Hello Moto."

No more thrash metal. No more cowpunk. Not even any more Modest Mouse.
It's all going to be that puerile and incredibly annoying "Hello Moto"
industro-crap.

Check this out, and read all the way down....

"Hello Mofo."

You can already get the Motorola Snowboarder as a background for some
Nokia picturephones. Sometime this summer you should be able to get a
Moto-branded celphone with a built-in iPod that'll likely only play
Moto-sourced techno-hurl pop.

But Moto's not officially announcing that yet, because they're afraid
somebody might copy the idea and bring it to market before they do.

Know what, Moto? You folks have always been so slow to execute on
products that -- IT'S ALREADY OUT THERE!!!

"Hello Mofo."

And next winter you can wow the shred-betties with your wired-for-radio
Burton jackets, but don't EVEN try wearing them through airport security.

"Hello Mofo."

What does all this mean? Basically that now it's OK for your parents to
take up snowboarding.

Me, I'm retiring to Taos just as soon as I get through cashing in all my
stock options.

Yes, that "Hello, Moto" is annoying. But the commercial where the whole
house folds in on itself and morphs into the cell phone in the girl's
palm is visually stunning. As is the girl herself.
