Default Crags in Jackson?

Going to Jackson next week and wondering if anyone has skied the new area
called the Crags. I hear it requires a hike.

I haven't skied the Crags yet(new to the Tetons and the snow has been
dismal up until last week) but I can confirm the hike. My guess is that
the boot track up the ridge at the top of the gondola will access but I
don't know the resort yet.

Here's some encouraging news, though: JH is finally very skiable with
multiple feet in the past 10 days. I was at JH Monday in about 18" of
fresh. This was the first good dump, though, and I was still getting
rock shots in rocky areas. Kinda scary considering the apparent good
coverage. We have gotten snow every day since then and E. Idaho and WY
are gearing up for "the storm of the century" (uh huh - how many times
have you heard that one) to hit Fri night. That should take care of the
rock issue, even if only half of the storm materializes.

Have fun and visit Grand Targhee for some uncrowded, wide open powder
skiing for a changeup.
