Anybody in Vancouver area want to put me and a pair of skis up for cheap
during the next Olympics? I don't think I can pay $800 a night in a hotel. You did say 'Come play with us.' I heard Canadians don't lie. |

Wouldn't that be ideal? :-) Step 1 though is to get my name on the starting list of any Whistler event, and that's gonna be the hard part... |

Have been there visiting a business associate many years ago. Did also ski there, but the trails were only 1 km with icy tracks. -- Terje Henriksen Kirkenes |

When I was living in Seattle (in US) a long time ago, I'd actually prefer the Canadian side up north. Vancouver and Victoria area are beautiful. Whistler is great for alpine stuff and mountain biking. Actually the BC government is telling hotels not to price gouge during the next Olympics, but rooms will probably be prohibitedly expensive nevertheless. Would love to catch Chandra Crawford medal in sprint,or Steira going for gold as the anchor leg in women's team relay for Norway. Of course, as a Yank, I'd love to see Newell and Kikkan do well also. |
