Original condition, with belt. Veru useful, assuming there are any

Some still exist.
The gadget would save your arm being pulled out of its socket as you
grab the rope, but its main use would be in queues, for fixing yourself
to the backpack of the fastest queue-jumper.

Mt. Trashmore has at least 5 still in operation. If that doesn't make
you want to ski there, nothing will.

Lookout pass on the ID/MT border has one for the bunny hill -- nearly
ripped my arm off when I tried to board it while holding my daughter. Is
there still one at McCall as well?

There's one at Mount Snow, serving the bigger kids' beginner hill. All
the little kids want to try it when they see it.

I think there is, the same one out of the sixties/seventies, but
rarely used. I think there's also one at the little ski hill, but this
area is soon to be replaced by a highway, Snoqualmie's West
and Alpental have rope tows, Stevens has one, There are
several at the areas along the border of southern Idaho,
Mountaineers on Snoqualmie had one but they took it out when
it killed a skier, the small Okanagon areas in Washington have
several, hmm.., that's all I can think of.

Is that the artificial mountain made of rubbish? You'd have to do it
once if you were in the area, just so you could say you had.

How? How is that even remotely possible?

It was a landfill back in the 50's. They heaped some more dirt on top
and installed lifts sometime in the early 60's. But you can't actually
see the trash, even in the summer when the snow's gone and they use it
for a driving range and golf course.

The opening scene of Aspen Extreme was filmed there if you're curious
and find it inconvenient to visit.

I have done, I even took my skis and boots from the UK to use there.

It beats sitting in front of the TV in a Detroit hotel after work.

I have skied on a golf course. It would've made an adequate beginner
slope if it'd been longer.

Is the film funny?
